ES Regional Section in Russia (Central office, St. Petersburg) was founded in Russia in 2003 by the decision of the ES Governing Board on the base of St. Petersburg branch of ESWGTT, which was inaugurated on December 1998 Dr. Nelly Didenko (SPb SC RAS) was appointed as the official representative (Coordinator) of this Section. There are already about 100 members of the Section in Russia. Working Groups of the Section Integration and Collaboration in European Science Technology Transfer Women in Science Young Scientists Science Policy Meeting with Professor J.-P.   4. The main goal of our section is to assist in promotion of Russian scientists participation in European Scientific and Technological Space. The main objectives of our group are: to assist the development of Russian and European science and Technology and use their achievements in practical activities to promote cooperation as a step towards integration into the European science to increase the role of science and status of Russian scientists in the European economic space Dr. Fr. The  new scene of interstate relations, globalization and role of regions with the sessions: • Conflicts of civilizations as new types of conflicts of the XXI century • Social tensions in a context of globalization and of enhanced role of regions. Chapter II.
