  • Doctors will prescribe antibiotics to treat the sores that become infected by the bacteria. The treatment also includes resting and soaking in oatmeal baths to help the itching

  • It usually takes 14 to 16 day for the spot to go through all its stages. It includes blistering, bursting, drying, and crusting over. New red spots will appear every day for up to 5 to 7 days.

  • It usually takes about 10 days after the first symptoms before all blisters have crusted over. This is when the person with chickenpox can return to day care, school, or work.
