  1. How are advertising and marketing the same but different? Many business owners have the tendency to mix up the concepts of advertising and marketing as the same thing. Advertising is a vital part of marketing, but not the other way round. Marketing is a way to create the client base by conveying them about the service and the products of a particular business. It generates a plan that involves the strategies of sales, communication of business and the development of the same. In short, Marketing is like a whole package of the business system while advertising is a part of it, more like a component which is very much important for the established and successful running of the business. Advertisement v/s marketing Of all the marketing strategies of a company, the department for advertising is the most important. It is a very expensive tool too. Advertisement of a company, be it on TV, radio, newspaper, magazine or printed on a handbill carries the message about a company and the services and products it offers. The concept of advertising includes summing up several ways like placing of ads, the selection of the media, the frequency which includes the running time and repeats if it is to be played in the digital media. As discussed earlier, advertisements are placed on different platforms to be made available for the users to enlighten them about the message they carry. The media for ads include internet, newspaper, emails, direct mail, TV, radio, magazines, handbills or leaflets, billboards, text messages and so on, although all kinds of media are not made for every person to reach the ad.
