  4. 2. Jesus prayed that the disciples be one group, united, not divided

  5. 3. Jesus prayed that the disciples alwaysremain close to him-like a vine and branches.

  6. Jesus is the Vine; we are the branches!

  7. How do we stay close to Jesus?BY PRAYING TO JESUS!

  8. By praying, we stay close to Jesus, and close to each other

  9. Memory Verse: John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you stay close to me, you will bear much fruit.”

  10. Lesson for Easter Sunday Bible story: John 20:1-18: Mary Magdalene discovers empty tomb first, then Peter and John run to discover empty tomb. UNBELIVABLE NEWS! Jesus is alive! How do we know something is true, believable? By hearing it from those we trust (parents); reading it in the Bible; other sources like TV/newspapers; God confirms it in our hearts (knowledge-feeling-action). What does salvation mean? God wants us to live with God forever. Because Jesus died for our sins, if we believe in Jesus, we will live with Him forever-it’s God’s promise. Memory Verse: If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised from the dead, you will be saved: from sin, from Satan, from dying without God.
