  1. BVP How to hand wash your Build a Bear For all Build a Bears. Copy Right BVP By: AbbeyBanana326

  2. Step 1 – Get Ready The things you will need • a variety of brushes (including bear paw brush) • A sink, or small tub • Towel, and afterwards cloths (robe, slippers) • Non-toxic body gel or liquid hand soap, shampoo (mixable) • Wash cloth • Perfume (to spray at the end) • Build a Bear stain remover • Baby Oil

  3. Step 2 – pre~rinse First fill the tub or sink half way with clear water. DO NOT dunk your build a bear in, which can result in water damage and days drying. Simply take the washcloth and dap it in, then smooth it over your build a bear. Of course as you know there should be NOTHING on your build a bear. If there are stains put a little bit more water on!

  4. Step 3 – Soap Down After your build a bear is damp. poor the bottle of liquid body gel or hand soap on the wash cloth and spread it gently over the body like you did with the water. If your build a bear has mane or hair put a small drop of shampoo on the wash cloth too. - Note you can mix body gels, liquid soaps, and shampoo to create a soap of your own!

  5. Step 4 – Wild Rinse Now carefully soak the wash cloth and wipe off all the soap, if needed you can sponge the water on. If you can not get tough suds out of mane or hair then carefully dip it in the water.

  6. Step 5 – Oiled and dabbed After all the soap and suds are off and if you have stains then carefully follow the directions on the “Build a Bear Stain Remover” . After, take a little dab of baby oil on your wash cloth and rub it down your build a bear (makes short fur soft, and silky!) .

  7. Step 6 – Brushed Up After your build a bear is oiled and stainless, look at your variety of brushes and carefully brush your build a bears fur, starting at the top. I suggest using a Build a Bear Paw Brush and a variety of doll brushes

  8. Step 7 - Drying After your build a bear is brushed, take a towel and squeeze out as much water as you can. Afterwards depending on how wet she is, either hang her outside, or wrap her up in a build a bear robe. If your build a bear has long fluffy fur, or mane DO NOT put in the drier.

  9. Step 8 – Final Brush After your build a bear is completely dry, brush her down with a paw brush because whether you hung her outside or put her in the drier water residue can make her fur crusty and dry (though baby oiled helped)! Your Build a Bear is all clean now! - Note, to add a fresh smell spritz your build a bear with light perfume!

  10. Freshening Up Don’t wash your build a bear too often (which could cause damage) but sometimes on special days your build a bear could use some freshening up, or weekly. Every few days you can mist your build a bear with fresh water (about 2 squirts) and brush her fur well, add a little light perfume as well and make her fresh, and pretty for the day ahead!
