  3. INTRODUCTION • The project is made by Au Yeung Ho Wah and Choy Chun Ho. The project is talking about WILD BIG CAT. We like BIG CAT very much. They looks like ruthless, killing other herbivores animals. In fact, they are kinds with their babies, especially LIONS. So, by the time, we shall start to let you know what are they? What are the species? And you may grasp more about them……

  4. WHAT ARE THEY? • BIG CAT refers to cat species which are large and wild, they don’t like cats feed by humans. They were one of the great hunters in the earth nowadays. They hunts practiced, sight are very well, hearing and sense of taste is great too. According to these advantages, they became the GREATHUNTERS after the Kingdom of Dinosaurs.

  5. COUGAR • COUGAR is one of the species of BIG CAT. They are cute and they ran fast. They lived in America nowadays. Their quantity from 158000 to 9500 in between 1900s- 1980s because of people over-hunts. • Their main food: mice, mouse, birds, ewls, goats, camel goats, america deer, etc. • Other name: Puma, Panther, Mountain lion • Length: 110-200 (cm), Weight: 30-85 (kg) • Life: 10-15 years. • Main distribution: west North America and South America.

  6. LEOPARD • LEOPARD is one of the species of BIG CAT living in the AFRICA GRASSLANDS. Black leopard isthe second fastest animals in the world. Their amount s is about 270000 to 45000 in between 1900s-1980s because of over-hunts by humans and lack of food. • Main food: deer, goat, crocodile,antelope, gazelle, pig, rabbit, mouse, etc. • Length: 91-190 (cm), Weight: 30-90 (kg) • Life: 12-17 years life. • Main distribution: Asia, Africa grasslands

  7. JAGUAR • JUGAR is one of the species of big cat too. They lived in the central of South America, in Brazil, Columbia nowadays. Their amount reduced from 94000 to 7000in between 1950s-1990s. Their living condition become smaller because of logging by people. • Main food: monkey, small ape, deer, antelope, gazelle, crocodile, fish, crabs, etc. • Other name: America tiger • Length: 120-180 (cm), Weight: 70-120 (kg) • Life: 12-16 years life • Main distribution: Central of South Africa • Quantity/Number: About 7000 of them are life

  8. CHEETAH CHEETAH is one of the species of BIG CAT family living in the Africa Grasslands. CHEETAH is the fastest animals living on land in the world. The highest speed of cheetah of their own potential is about 130km/h. They lived mainly in Africa. Their Quantity reduced from 120000 to 4000 in between 1950 to 1995 because of lacking food and lots of hunters, like humans,etc. Main food: the smallest antelope in the world, jumped antelope, other species antelope, waltpig, insect, small wild dog, etc. Length: 110-160 (cm), Weight:45-65 (kg) Life: 12-14 years life Mainly distribution: Africa Grasslands, Middle East, Middle Asia and India.

  9. TIGER Tiger is the largest BIG CAT in the world. Their numbers is becoming smaller and smaller. This due to the excessively killed by humans. Main food: small elephant, cow, goat, antelope, monkey, Ape, etc. Length: 220-330 (cm), Weight: 192-324 (kg) Other name: Asian lion Life:15 to 20 years life Main distribution : Northeast of China, Southeast Asia, Indonesia and India. Numbers of them are life: Totally about 4000. In 1900s, their Quantity have about 12000. This due to the over-catch by people.

  10. LION Lion is one of the species of BIG CAT living on Africa Grasslands. They are the cruelest in the Africa Grasslands. Main food: Zebra, cowhorse, antelope, wilddog, cow, Ape, Monkey, Leopard, etc. Length: 200-300 (cm), Weight: 150-225 (kg) Life: 15-20 years life. Main distribution: Africa Grasslands Numbers of them: About 2500 are life.

  11. SNOW LEOPARD • Snow Leopard is one of the species of BIG CAT living in snow area. We think Snow Leopard is the cutest big cat. Since 1800s, over 500000 of them are killed by humans. Their living conditions are smaller and smaller. • Main food: Snow rabbit, mice, deer, Europe camel goat, etc. • Length: 90-135 (cm), Weight: 50kg. • Life: 15-18 years life. • Main distribution: Middle Asia, Mongol, North Europe.

  12. Canadian Lynx • Canadian Lynx is one of the species of BIG CAT living on North America snow area. They have thick hairs. They are almost extinct in the 19 century. • Main food: Mice, snow rabbit, goats, horse, birds, etc. • Length: 90-110 (cm), Weight: 9-18 (kg) • Life: 15 years life • Main distribution: Canada, Northwest of United States of America. • Numbers of them are Life: Totally about 5000 of them are life

  13. Eurasian Lynx • EURASIAN LYNX is one of the species of BIG CAT living in snow area nowadays. They lived mainly in Europe, so this why their name has Eurasian. • Main food: wildcow, deer, camel goat, mice, insect, other smaller cat, birds, etc. • Length: 80-130 (cm), Weight: 18-35 (kg) • Life: About 17 years life • Main distribution: The whole Europe, Middle East, Asia. • Numbers of them are life: About 9000 of them are life nowaday

  14. Clouded Leopard • CLOUDED LEOPARD is one of the species of BIG CAT living in Forest. They do not like sun very much. They like to move mainly at night. Their living areas are well because of not much people disturb them. • Main food: mice, wildpig, monkey, ape,small orangutan, birds, etc. • Length: 75-110 (cm), Weight: 16-20 (kg) • Life: 11-17 years life • Main distribution: Southeast Asia, Taiwan • Numbers of them: About 25000

  15. Bobcat • BOBCAT is one of the species of BIG CAT living in desert or grasslands in North America. They almost extinct in the 19 century. Only a few of them are still wild, because most of them are feed by people. • Main food: Wildpig, mice, insect, birds, fish, etc. • Length: 72-98 (cm), Weight: 11-14 (kg) • Life: 10-12 years life • Main distribution: Only found in North America. • Numbers of them: None data

  16. CONCLUSION • In the Kingdom of Animalia, species of Big Cat are successful. They have well sense organs. They are clever, so they became great hunters after the Kingdom of Dinosaurs. Most of them had been extinct before 1850. These species that we introduced is only little species. This due to the environment destroyed, the living conditions areas disappeared, over-catch and killed by humans. These are the causes that make most of them disappeared on earth. So, by the way, we must teach everyone to treasure and cherish the environment that God gave us. We must protect wild life, they like treasure, jewels on earth. Cheetah is the fastest animals in the world, not including in oceans and air. The fastest animals on earth is a kind of eagle. The highest speed of them can be go to about 180km/h when they were going to catch other animals. So, if you want to still see these animals in the future, we must now learn, protect, respect these animals.
