  6. School Councils • Formal constitution and action plan • SMSC • Promotes citizenship and active involvement • A ‘hidden’ democracy • Culture of ownership = school improvement • Needs support and buy in from leadership team and governing body • Designated Link Governor

  7. Student led-policies • Behaviour policy, equality policy, anti-bullying policy, packed lunch policy… • Children and young people have both ownership and understanding • Children and young people as peer researchers to involve whole school community
