  3. Findings Problem • Small lot sizes Solution • No minimum lot size required

  4. Findings Problem • Height limitations/clearance Solution • Residential Districts = max. 100ft. • All other Districts = based on site specifications and ability to meet requirements.

  5. Findings Problem • Setbacks Solution • A distance equal to or greater than its extended height or • A distance at which sound does not exceed 30dB, whichever is greater

  6. Findings Problem • Noise Solution • Not to exceed 30dB as measured at point along the property line.

  7. Findings Problem • High Speed Wind Safety (i.e. Tornados and wind storms) Solutions • Redundant Breaking Systems • Must be engineered to withstand wind forces of up to 110 mph

  8. Findings Problem • Tower Access Solution • Shall not be accessible for unassisted climbing (same as cell towers)

  9. Findings Problem • Signage Solution • Commercial marking, messages, banners or advertising of any kind is prohibited • One sign at eye level shall be posted warning of no trespassing and high voltage and the phone number or property owner/operator in case of emergency

  10. Findings Problem • Local Historic Districts Solution • Local - Must receive a Certificate of Appropriateness from HASC. • National – Must receive a recommendation from HASC. • Sites within 500 Feet of Local or National must receive a recommendation from HASC.

  11. Application Process Components • Site Plan Review • Approval letter from all utility companies • Proof of Notice to all property owners within 250ft • Manufacturer’s specs. • Sealed and signed by Structural Engineer • Detailed drawing of electric components • Plan Commission Recommendation and Council Approval
