  1. January 2014 Whiteman Night at Skyhaven Airport On November 14, Skyhaven Airport hosted over 50 Whiteman AFB Warriors at its first ever Whiteman Night. The night was a huge success and allowed these airmen to become more familiar with what UCM Aviation has to offer. There was a large interest shown in the A&P certificate initiative proposed by Professor FredSchieszer and Director of Maint. Steve Quick. There was also a representative from the FAA that was able to answer any questions the airman might have had. The airmen were given a full tour of the terminal building, Hangar 3, and the MULE Center because none of them had ever been to Skyhaven Airport before! Many claimed that they had no idea what facilities and aircraft UCM Aviation has available to students. Throughout the night 16 airmen were able to fly on orientation night flights. Over 15 students stated that they were interested in pursuing an aviation degree and will be able to do so by taking classes at Whiteman AFB. Many helped in making Whiteman Night such a huge success especially Vicki Orcutt, WAFB Site Coordinator. Another thanks goes out to Harold Phillips and the FBO team and Darlene Loeffler and the CFI’s who flew orientation flights. Preflighting N473CM before going on an orientation flight.
