Unique Accommodations • No longer any FDOE unique accommodations approval process • All special materials (One-Item-Per-Page, Large Print, Braille and paper based tests) MUST be ordered on a student by student basis • The order MUST include documentation as to why the student cannot access assessments on the computer using available accommodations • Paper/pencil tests are only appropriate for those students that do not access any assessments or instruction using a computer • All accommodations MUST be included in both the instruction and assessment sections of the IEP/504 Plan

Fall Test Administration • Administration Window • October 6 – 31, 2014 • Mandatory • ELA at grades 3 – 11, Reading Retake 2.0 • Math at grades 3 – 8, Math Retake SSS • Science at grades 3 – 8 • EOC Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Biology 1, Civics, and US History • Any student currently enrolled in a tested course or needs to retake the Algebra 1 EOC • Science Answer Document Return Date • Friday, October 31, 2014 by 4:00 pm • Glades area schools will be picked up beginning in the morning

Test Administrations • Recommended testing times: • NGSSS tests – 90 minutes • FSA tests – 60 minutes (Fall ONLY, Winter TBD) • Fall Pregridded answer sheets • Elementary and Middle Schools: select sort option by September 22, 2014 • High Schools: none • Winter Pregridded answer sheets/labels • Elementary and Middle Schools: select sort option by December 10, 2014 • High Schools: none

Answer Sheets • Grades 3 & 4 Reading and Mathematics answer sheets printed and scanned at the school using Performance Matters • Special heavier weight paper will be provided to schools • Process of printing limited to Ricoh copiers • Charter Schools may print/scan in the Charter School Office or the TDC • Grades 3-8 Science answer documents will be similar to the answer documents used in previous years • Recycle ALL answer documents that may still be at your school from previous years • ONLY the answer documents for grades 3-8 science administration will be returned to the TDC for scanning

  27. Answer Sheets (Grades 3-8 Science) • Answer sheets that are preidentified for a student CANNOT be used for another student • The Student Name and Student Number bubbles on a non-pregridded answer document MUST be darkened

Returning Answer Documents • Return only To Be Scored answer documents for grades 3-8 science • Make sure all answer documents are facing the same direction • Do NOT staple, paper band, paper clip or rubber band answer documents • Remove ALL Post-It (sticky) Notes • Transcribe answers and information from torn answer or badly damaged sheets to new answer sheet • Transcribe answers from large print or Braille tests • Grade levels and subjects can be mixed and returned in the same box

  40. When is FAIR-FS Administered? • FAIR-FS was designed to be administered 3 times per year • August 18 - November 14, 2014 – Assessment Period 1 (AP1) • November 17, 2014 - March 2, 2015 – Assessment Period 2 (AP2) • March 3 - June 4, 2015 – Assessment Period 3 (AP3)

Who Is Required To Take FAIR-FS • All K-5 students at our F, DDD, DD, and D elementary schools • All elementary schools will be required to administer FAIR-FS to their 5th grade students for placement into 6th grade Intensive Reading Classes during AP 3 • All grades 6-12 Level 1 and Level 2 students at our F, DDD, DD, and D middle and high schools • It is further recommended that middle and high schools administer FAIR-FS to their level 1 and 2 students during AP 3 in order to provide a data source for making reading support placements the following school year • Any school other than those required to administer are welcome to participate in FAIR-FS

Important Information • Late September – Schools notified if they have been selected • Schools selected for NAEP/TIMMS will not be included • December 1-19 – Administration Window • Paper/Pencil testing at grade 4 • Computer based testing at grades 5-11 • Uses the new AIR platform • All grades in a selected school will be tested • Two day administration • Two different prompts administered to each student on two different days • One 90 minute session for each prompt • Planning Sheets will be sent to schools prior to the administration
