  4. Redesigned CoursesSpring 2008 College Algebra (3 cr.) and Trigonometry (3 cr.) • 3600 students per year • 1 hour per week in class • minimum of 3 hours per week in lab Precalculus (5 cr. hr.) • 400 students per year • 2 hours per week in class • minimum of 5 hours per week in lab

Redesign FeaturesSpring 2008 • 40 students per section • All MML assessments and local videos • 275-seat learning lab open 60 hours each week • 15 students per computer, test in another lab • Staggered due dates for all assignments • Final grade distribution: 10% Participation (class and lab) 10% Homework (drop 2 of 28) 10% Quizzes (drop 2 of 9) 40% Tests (4, proctored) 30% Final exam (can replace lowest test score)

LSU Dual Credit ProgramAdv Math and CA/TrigFall 06 – Spring 2008 • LSU content with 4 LA institutions issuing credit, 14 schools, 20 teachers • Models for credit 1) LSU concurrent enrollment based on final grade of C or better 2) LSU credit based on 70% final exam score and final grade of C or better 3) Other institution credit based on final grade C or better • Institution sends faculty member or TA to act as TOR • F06 … 62% of 400 students earned dual credit
