  1. Warm Up-The Clauses • Write one compound complex sentence with an adjective clause and one compound complex sentence with an adverb clause about the Santa Clauses.

Compound complex with an adjective clause • Santa Claus, who is riding a reindeer,is listening to techno music, and he is delivering presents to children all around the world. • Santa who was husky started dancing, and he was good at it. • Santa Claus rode in on his reindeer that was decorated with lights, and he started dancing on it. • Santa Claus, who is fat,is stuck, and he is struggling to get out of the brown and red chimney.

  3. Compound complex with an adverb clause • The Santa in the chimney is stuck because he ate too many cookies and milk, but he never stops eating them. • Santa ate cookies, and the reindeer almost fell over because he was so fat. • Although Santa likes to dance, he is very bad, so he should stop. • I ate the cookies, and I drank the milk after I came down the chimney.
