  4. Efficacy Study of CourseMate • Conducted in FALL term of 2010 • 17 Instructors • Included 25 classes/sections • 584 students • University level

  6. “I like how you can move at your own pace and redo the tests and quizzes as many times as you want.” Student Sound Bites… “Love the online book, it really helped me because I ended up losing my book. I also loved the practice quizzes and essays…they really helped me” “Flashcards are awesome! They saved me time from having to write down all the vocab” “Gave me a different way to study the chapter, plus it gave me immediate feedback and I didn’t have to wait on my teacher to grade it over the weekend.” “Easier than using the printed book” “It gives you other ways to explain the information than my instructor…..uses creative ideas to show the material such as diagrams, and it’s easy to use.”

  9. CourseMate fall 2010 efficacy study Conclusions… • 94% of students were VERY SATISFIED with CourseMate • Ds, Fs, and Incompletes went down 14% • Homework submission went up 11% 35% said CourseMate kept them from dropping the course.
