Evalon Vaginal Cream (Generic Estriol Vaginal Cream) Uses of Evalon Vaginal cream When your body is in short supply of Estrogens, replacing it can ease the uncomfortable changes that occur in the vagina, vulva (female genitals), and urethra (part of the urinary system). Conditions that are treated with vaginal estrogens like Evalon Vaginal Cream include a genital skin condition (vulvar atrophy), inflammation of the vagina (atrophic vaginitis), and inflammation of the urethra (atrophic urethritis). Estrogens work partly by increasing a normal clear discharge from the vagina and making the vulva and urethra healthy. Using or applying an estrogen relieves or lessens: Dryness and soreness in the vagina, Itching, redness, or soreness of the vulva, Feeling an urge to urinate more often then is needed or experiencing pain while urinating and Pain during sexual intercourse. © All Contraceptives

Evalon Vaginal Cream (Generic Estriol Vaginal Cream) Recommended Dosage The dosage of Evalon Vaginal Cream Evalon Vaginal Cream (Generic Estriol Vaginal Cream) for various indications is given below: Atrophic vaginitis: For starting and continuation of treatment of postmenopausal symptoms, the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration should be used. The normal dose is one applicator- dose (0.5g cream containing 0.5mg Estriol) per day for 2 to 3 weeks. As maintenance dosage, one applicator-dose twice a week. Pre-surgery therapy: One applicator-dose per day should begin 2 weeks before the operation. Following surgery: The therapy should be resumed after a period of at least 2 weeks using one applicator-dose twice a week. An appraisal of the risks and benefits must be undertaken at least each year. Medical History: Existing vaginal infections must be treated before therapy with Evalon cream is initiated. Patients with certain medical conditions including, leiomyoma or endometriosis, a history of or risk factors for thromboembolic disorders, hypertension, liver disorders, diabetes mellitus with or without vascular involvement, cholelithiasis, migraine or (severe) headache, systemic lupus erythematosus, a history of endometrial hyperplasia, epilepsy, asthma and otosclerosis, will need close supervision particularly when the condition is active, or has occurred previously and/or was aggravated during pregnancy or previous hormone treatment.
