  2. Pronounced keen-wah, Quinoa was a staple of the ancient Incas, who called it the “mother grain”. Quinoa contains more protein than most other grains and is a great option to rice or couscous. It cooks to a light, fluffy texture and as it cooks the external germ which forms a band around each grain spirals out. What is it?

  4. Rinse grains three times in a strainer with small holes Step ONe

  5. Put onto heat Step two

  6. Add boiling water Step three

  7. Cover and let simmer for ten minutes Step four

  8. Strain excess water Step five

  9. Final PRoduct

  10. Quinoa can be taken as a replacement rice. Delicious with vegetables, beef, chicken or fish.
