  3. Scenario • You have and automobile and want to determine if it would be in your best interest to do the repairs yourself or pay a mechanic to make the repairs. • In the interest of saving money is it better to repair the car yourself or send it to a mechanic?

  4. 2007 Chevrolet Silverado • At four years old the truck has 48,000 miles and is just out of warranty. • The truck is desired to be kept for 10 more years (approximately 120,000 more miles) • Routine maintenance and heavy repairs for this model are to be anticipated for the next 10 years of ownership.
