  5. Sources of Organics • Currently, organics make up about 42% of materials entering landfills • Annual est. of food waste entering WI landfills • Residential • ¼ million ton • Institutional/Commercial/Industrial • ¼ million ton • Paper waste entering landfills • Est = 19% of landfill waste
