New Member Orientation
Obligations of an ERF Member
The mission of the ERF is to advance excellence in healthcare through the support of education and research in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging by provision of grants and awards.
To be an effective fundraising organization, primarily in support of the strategic plan of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, Inc. (SNM)
In order to be an effective fundraiser you must show you believe in the cause you are asking others to support. You must lead by example. All members of the Board are expected to be ERF donors.
You were asked to become a member of the Board due to your experience, confidence, and personality. Fundraising doesn’t come naturally for everyone. We will provide you with training and the necessary tools to become an effective fundraiser. Teri Pinkham, our Director of Development, will be giving you your first lesson today.
Mid-Winter and SNM Annual Meeting
Spring and Fall meetings
Each Board member has unique experience and perspective. All of you are leaders in the field. Some of you have financial, grant writing, advocacy, commercial or legal expertise. We want your opinion and perspective on issues we discuss. Read you materials prior to the meeting and be ready to communicate your opinion with thought and tact.
