About CI • CI was ranked #65 by Sierra Magazine as a “Cool School” for our efforts in sustainability and being a green campus. • CI was ranked #56 by Washington Monthly’s “Best Bang for the Buck” among all schools. • The Model United Nations team at CSU Channel Islands (CI) recently garnered six top awards at two spring conferences. • CSU Channel Islands (CI) has been named a “Tree Campus USA” for the first time by the Arbor Day Foundation. The award honors CI for its commitment to forest management and conservation and makes it one of approximately 150 institutions nationwide and the first in the 23-campus CSU system to earn the designation. • For the fourth consecutive year, CSU Channel Islands (CI) has earned a place on the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. • CSU Channel Islands’ (CI) Alumni & Friends Dodger Day event won a 2013 Award of Excellence for Alumni Relations Programs from The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). • Two CSU Channel Islands (CI) art students earned top honors for their websites at the 2012 CSU Media Arts Festival. This is the 10th consecutive year that CI students have won awards.

Cost of Attendance* Important Deadlines November 1st- February 14th CI Scholarship Application Filing Period January 1- March 2nd FAFSA Filing Period May 31st Financial Aid Document Deadline *All students regardless of residency status, pay tuition fees which are dependent on budgets beyond CI’s control and are subject to change without notice. Non-residents of California pay tuition of $372/unit in addition to these fees. The above example shows the estimated nine-month costs for a student living in University housing and taking 15 units per semester for 2013/2014.

Admission/Enrollment Deadlines Freshman Application Deadline: November 30, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. SAT/ACT Exams: Must be taken by December 2013 EOP Application Deadline: Thursday, January 31, 2014 Register for ELM/EPT Placement Exams: January 15-April 14, 2014 FAFSA Application Deadline: March 2, 2014 Intent to Enroll Deadline: Thursday, May 1, 2014 ELM/EPT Placement Exams Deadline: Saturday, May 3, 2014 Orientation Registration Deadline: May 19, 2014 FAFSA Document Deadline: May 31, 2014 Island View Orientation (required for all FTF): June/July 2014 Early Start Program (if required): June/July/August 2014 Final Transcript Deadline (spring grades): July 14, 2014

Minimum CSU eligibility accepted. • My CI • Applicants will receive myCI account information via email. myCI allows you to check application & admission status. • Admissions decisions are processed on an on-going basis beginning in December. • If admitted, intent to enroll and $100 non-refundable deposit is required for reserving your space. Deposit fee is waived if student was granted an application fee waiver.
