    4. 4 OneStep™ Simplicity OneStep™ Cable Eliminates need for separate ECG cable during pacing Eradicates tangled cables Avoids frustration and errors from missing pieces The R Series features a single cable capable of monitoring, pacing and defibrillating – which reduces confusion and clutter and ensures you are ready for whatever needs to be delivered. And cable storage is as simple as it gets – the cable gets wrapped and put in the caddy – pre-connected to the electrode. When you need it, pull and go! No pouches, no tangles no confusion – just simple intelligent design. 7. 7 SMART Real CPR Help™ Smart Tools

    8. 8 Why CPR? Only treatment for non-shockable rhythms is CPR Paradis: CPP> 15mmHg required for ROSC1 ARC New Guidelines emphasizes the importance of good quality CPR2

    9. 9 Why CPR Help? Wik: Compressions are too shallow CPR interruptions result in CPR being performed less than half the available time Abella: Quality of CPR in hospitals is variable at best: 37% of compressions are too shallow 41% of rates are too slow CPR performance improves significantly when feedback is provided

    10. 10 SMART: Real CPR Help Easy, automatic deployment with OneStep Complete electrode CPR Index™ provides visual indicator of CPR quality SeeThru CPR™ reduces interruptions User selectable audible prompts coach rate and depth Feedback prompts by exception The R Series provides complete support for CPR, because at a code – CPR is not optional. But this is not layperson AED CPR support – this is support for ALS responders and you can choose how much or how little you wish to implement. 11. 11 SMART: Real CPR Help The 3 Big Things for CPR Quality of depth and rate Minimize interruptions Blood flow builds over time The R Series includes 5 different mechanisms of CPR feedback: A rate metronome that only beeps when you fall below 80 cpm, and stops beeping as soon as you reach the correct rate A depth prompt that tells you to PUSH HARDER if depth falls below 1.5” A CPR waveform that can be displayed on the screen And a CPR idle time that tells you how long it’s been since your last compression And a visual display of the words rate or depth or both when they fall out of range. The R Series includes 5 different mechanisms of CPR feedback: A rate metronome that only beeps when you fall below 80 cpm, and stops beeping as soon as you reach the correct rate A depth prompt that tells you to PUSH HARDER if depth falls below 1.5” A CPR waveform that can be displayed on the screen And a CPR idle time that tells you how long it’s been since your last compression And a visual display of the words rate or depth or both when they fall out of range.

    12. 12 SMART: Real CPR Help CPR INDEX - Rapid Visual Assessment The CPR Index is a unique visual indicator of CPR effectiveness. The concept is that the indicator is filled when delivering optimal depth and rate of compression – the fill leaks out during period of interrupted CPR – a rapid quiet, visual guide to optimal CPR. The CPR Index is not a clinical measure, but it can be thought of as a visual surrogate to coronary perfusion pressure. The CPR Index is a unique visual indicator of CPR effectiveness. 13. 13 SMART: See-Thru CPR One of the key recommendation of the AHA is to minimize interruptions in CPR – a key source of interruption is stopping CPR to determine if an organized, shockable rhythm has developed. With ZOLL’s patented See-Thru CPR technology, responders do not have to repeatedly stop CPR for a rhythm check – a filtered signal can be displayed on the screen. For example this is an actual waveform generated during CPR one of the many we collected when validating the technology – is there an organized rhythm here? CLICK! The filtered signal shows that there clearly is. This is not meant to replace human assessment, but use of See-Thru CPR will help to minimize the number of times you have to stop CPR to check the underlying rhythm. Because each time you stop, there’s a chance you might forget to start again. One of the key recommendation of the AHA is to minimize interruptions in CPR – a key source of interruption is stopping CPR to determine if an organized, shockable rhythm has developed. 14. 14 SMART: Real CPR Help CPR Quality Reports Playback entire ECG or view summary Displays total percent of time in compressions Displays percent of time compressions within quality target And all CPR case data is available for downloading into CodeNet resuscitation event software for review. CodeNet will allow you to see the total percent of time that compressions were performed during the case, and of this time, how frequently the compressions were within quality targets. And all CPR case data is available for downloading into CodeNet resuscitation event software for review. 15. 15 SMART: Tools for Asset Management SurePower™ Manager Provides precise determination of battery life, capacity and runtime Extends useful battery life with selectable pass-fail thresholds Tracks usage and charging history Eliminates guesswork when budgeting and planning Sure Power Battery Manager software provides unprecedented information on a battery’s use, which: Allows clinical engineering to control costs, and manage budget based on need rather than just age of batteries; and Provides users with an even greater level of confidence in the dependability and reliability of the defibrillator Sure Power Battery Manager provides detailed information & reports on: Degradation/total capacity Present status – charge level, voltage, temperature & run time Total throughput - # cycles… AND – allows users to set their own threshold levels for pass/fail criteria according to what is appropriate for where the battery is being used. For example, a battery that is going to only be used on a crash cart, may be fine with a maximum capacity of 30%; whereas a battery used for transport may need a higher capacity. 20. 20 READY: …and tested 24/7 Pre-connect electrodes, automatically self-tests each day No separate test fixtures or disconnection needed

    21. 21 READY: Complete Unit Testing Tests for electrode expiration and gel condition, and all circuits, CPR, pacing, power, and parameters

    22. 22 READY: WiFi Communication Industry Standard Wireless* Sends notification of unit which has not passed test failed units via pager or email Offers remote tech support, configuration management and system wide clock synchronization Automatically sends code data and readiness test results to hospital network Allows remote troubleshooting from a central location In a defibrillator wireless communication is an amazing capability. First of all – with WiFi, every defib in the house is automatically synchronized to the network clock - one time for all defibs! Even more useful is that with WiFi the unit can automatically send a page or email whenever it detects a defib that is compromised – and include an analysis of what is wrong so that troubleshooting is rapid and to the point. Collecting code data is also simplified – after a code the unit can automatically send its data directly to CodeNet resuscitation event software – no cables, no cards. Readiness test results can also be wirelessly transmitted - JACHO compliance was never so simple, complete and accurate. In a defibrillator wireless communication is an amazing capability.
