  6. What’s in a Question? • Different words can help you organize the complexity of questions. You can differentiate open inquiry based on the words used in the question. • Who, What, Where, When - Easier • How, Why - Harder

  7. Levels of Inquiry • Level 1 - Confirmation Inquiry • Level 2 – Structured Inquiry • Level 3 – Guided Inquiry • Level 4 – Open Inquiry

  8. Debate: To SLO or not to SLO? • Pro – Specific learning outcomes should be attached to a unit of inquiry, as it maintains a level appropriate nature to the unit. • Con – Specific learning outcomes should not be connected to an inquiry project, as that defeats the purpose of the inquiry.
