  1. Rehabilitation of Flat Creek, Teton County, Wyoming;Planning, design and implementation A cooperative effort between: Trout Unlimited, Jackson Hole Chapter Teton Conservation District Town of Jackson Teton County Wyoming Game and Fish Department HabiTech, Inc Others

  2. Project Goal Reduce icing and winter flooding of Flat Creek through stream improvements which allow the creek to approach its fisheries and ecological potential

  3. Project Tasks PHASE 1:Conduct a planning and feasibility study to determine the aquatic habitat limitations of Flat Creek and recommend likely concepts and strategies for rehabilitation; PHASE 2:Conduct a detailed siting and design study leading to the recommendation of specific rehabilitation treatments and the submittal of necessary documents to the appropriate state and federal agencies for permitting purposes; PHASE 3:Implement the recommended and permitted rehabilitation treatments and provide a post implementation evaluation.

  4. Project Priorities • Winter icing and flooding; • Discontinuing thaw well use and not adding additional thaw wells; • Storm water runoff storage in stream banks and sediment load management; • Fish habitat
