"...two bulbous eyes stare at you upside down..."

Hello walls, (Hello, hello.) How'd things go for you today? Don't you miss her. Since she up and walked away? And I'll bet you dread to spend another lonely night with me, But lonely walls, I'll keep you company. "Unblinking eyes are everywhere".

In the short story, The Yellow Wall-Paper, the women feels like the face in the wall-paper is watching her. I think that the fact she felt being watched relates to all women. There are a large variety of people who watch women, mainly men. However, grandparents are always watching, parents are always watching, and sometimes other women themselves are watching us. For some being watched may be a indication of flattery; for others it may be completely infuriating. • The man on the background with the binoculars symbolizes the men in our lives that are watching us. The woman in the bottom right corner looks angry because three different men are staring at her. The old woman in the collage is to represent all those old fashion grandmothers who are constantly watching you. The eyes in the collage relate back to the short story, and how she saw the two eyes in the wall watching her. • I think that women are so constantly watched, that most of them get paranoid about even being watched. In the story, The Yellow Wall-Paper, she was constantly being watched by her husband and her nanny that she began to think everything was watching her, even the wall-paper.
