  4. Experiment:What happens when you boil water ? • What temperature does tap water boil at? • Does this temperature change if you have other substances in the water?

  5. Equipment Use identical beakers and the same thermometer for each experiment

  6. Safe Practice • What is necessary?

  7. Your samples in 250 ml beakers 100 mL tap water + 2 teaspoons salt 100 mL tap water 100 mL tap water + 6 teaspoons salt 100 mL tap water + 4 teaspoons salt

  8. Your results • Download the file Salty Water Excel Graphing File from the Intranet and record your results. They will graph automatically.
