  1. How to find music for your production video, courseware etc.? Step 1Click on Database http://www.np.edu.sg/library Go to Library Homepage:

  2. Step 2 Click on Music and Sound Step 3 Click on Big Bang & Fuzz

  3. Step 4 Click on Big Bang & Fuzz. **To note If you have difficulties downloading, it could mean that the maximum no. of download is reached. Contact the Reference Counter at 6460-6290. 2) Music is could be used for video production for internal use only ( teaching and research purposes)

  4. 1) Select songs by labels, styles OR playlists

  5. Step 1 Choose the style and clickon the icon under Pop to see all albums within the genre Step 2 The cover and title of albums will be listed. Click on the album title Step 1(a) Alternatively, you can click on the title of the genre to expand. This will list all the albums under the genre

  6. 2) Listen to the music Step 2 Click on the stop button if you want to stop the music Step 1 Click on the music hyperlink to listen to the music that you have selected .

  7. 3) Cut portion of the music and save Step 1 Click on the scissors icon Step 2 Drag your mouse to select the portion of music that you want to snip Step 3 Click on the download icon depicted by arrow Step 4 Click on the OK button

  8. Step 5 Click on the save as link Step 6 Save the file in mp3 format

  9. 4) Save the music track Step 1 All the song tracks within the album will be listed Step 3 Choose the appropriate icons Step 2 Take note of the title of the song, name & duration of the album Add to favourites Cuesheet information Download track See next page for explanation>>

  10. Step 4 Once you have clicked this icon, all the selected albums will be stored under this icon in the database Add to favourites ( Contains all albums selected by users which they added as their favourites) Step 5 Click on the icon “X” if you wish to delete the album from the favourite list

Cuesheet information Step 6: Once you click on , you will be prompted to open, save or cancel The Open icon will open up a Microsoft Excel file showing the album, track, track name, composer, label and original publisher The Save button icon will enable you to save the cuesheet information into Microsoft Excel format

  12. Download track will enable you to save the musicin mp3 format Download track Step 7 Click on the OK button Step 8 Click on the save as link Step 9 Click on the save button. The file is saved as mp3

  13. 5) Search by keywords Step 1 Type the keyword Step 2 Songs with the keyword in the summary will be retrieved
