  1. Student Visa Student Visa To attend an institution/education in the United States,  you require a US student visa. Even people belonging to countries in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) will need a permit to enroll in courses involving credits & degrees. ✔ OBTAIN THE I20 FORM Obtain the I20 form by applying to an institution that has a SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) SEVIS REGISTRATION ✔ After acceptance of your I20 form application by school/college/university. They will register you in SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) ✔ SEVIS I-901 FEES Then You will have to pay the SEVIS I- 901 fees. ✔ I20 FORM ISSUE After payment confirmation, the institution will issue you with an I20 form.   2. US CEAC ACCOUNT ✔ Create an account on the US CEAC (Consular Electronic Application Center) website. DS-160 FORM ✔ Select the DS-160 form which is the student visa form for the USA. Proceed to fill this online. Make note of the bar-code number you get. ✔ APPLICATION FEE Pay the fees for the application online. Note your receipt number. BOOK APPOINTMENTS ✔ You will need to book 2 appointments. The 1st one for biometric submission at a VAC. The 2nd one is for the interview at the American Embassy/Consulate. 1ST APPOINTMENT @ VAC ✔ Attend appointment with your passport, DS-160 form, & appointment confirmation page. You will be subjected to a fingerprint scan, and your digital photo will be taken at VAC. 2ND APPOINTMENT @ US EMBASSY ✔ Visit the US embassy/consulate for the interview along with the passport, stamped DS-160 page, and appointment confirmation page.
