wLED Flash Light Power Supply Requirements

  • Efficiency is of secondary order

    • Flash light supply is turned off for most of the time

  • Fast turn off and turn on times are required

    • Time period for flash ranges from 30ms up to 200ms

    • Rise time of current needs to be in the us range

    • Boost or charge pump must be powered up before the flash can be initiated

  • Storage capacitor and current limit might be required to avoid high input peak currents during flashing
