Santa Caterina d’Alessandria In Galatina, visit of the church ofSanta Caterina d’Alessandria(14th century) Santa Caterina d'Alessandria is a late Romanesque church built in 1390 by Raimondello del Balzo Orsini, count of Soleto, with a fine portal and rose-window. The interior contains frescoes by Francesco d’Arezzo (1435). The apse contains the fine mausoleum of the son of the founder.

Again in Galatina, visit of the chapel of the patron St. Paul On the 28th and 29th of June, dates of the celebration of the saint, the “tarantate” visite the small church, dance wildly and asked St. Paul to free them from the venoms of the tarantulas. Music is the therapy for “tarantate”. The incessant dance and the obsessing music cause the liberation from their illness.
