Definition of Leadership • Leadership is the capacity to lead • One purpose of RBC is to call forth the leaders within each of us, and take ownership of their own work • Caring services comes from caring leaders • I am only one: but I cam still one. Caring Leaders Are: • Available and present • Holds the big picture and its importance • Maintains positive energy • Tells the truth • Hears other’s perspective and asks questions • Shares important information to others • Holds others in the highest regard even with their flaws • Has clear expectations, shows competence, encouraging what is working, and is a staff and patient advocate
