  2. Quick Survey • Who would be interested in taking American Sign Language next year if it was offered as a class here at IRHS? • Who would be interested in taking American Sign Language in the future?

  3. TODAY’S AGENDA • Complete credit check to determine progress towards graduation • Receive pre-registration materials • Enter class requests in to computer on: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 18TH

  4. ACCURATE TRANSCRIPT? • Six grades each semester? • Correct classes and grades? • Summer school grades? • Middle school classes/grades for Spanish & math included? • Problems? Talk to Registrar – Kandi Clark (her office is located in the administration building)

  6. HOW ARE YOUR CREDITS? • Enter grades one semester at a time beginning with freshmen year and working your way through 1st semester of sophomore year • If you have an “F” – leave the space blank

  7. LET’S TALK JUNIOR YEAR! • You must take a minimum of 6 classes • By the time you graduate, you must earn a minimum of 22 credits and fulfill all requirements, including passing the Civics test and taking CPR class • Any classes to make up? All required credits must be listed on course request forms or completed in summer school • Summer school courses can always be adjusted on your course request form with your counselor • If you are planning on taking a summer school course – we will still have you register for the class in the computer lab

SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION • Summer school will be offered at CDO this year • Registration begins March 1st • Semester 1: June 3-June 20 (8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) • Semester 2: June 24-July 11 (8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) • Tuition: $150 each semester • Check www.amphi.com for available classes • Online summer school information coming soon – registration usually begins in April

JTED Programs • Off-campus program offerings • Morning, afternoon and evening classes available • Schedule at IRHS adjusted • MUST be enrolled in 4 IRHS classes in addition to JTED class outside of school • To find details about programs offered and to enroll in programs for 2019-2020 school year – visit http://pimajted.org/ • Please see Mrs. Evans in the Counseling office for additional information • Remember to list the class on your course request form as an elective

FIRST HOUR CONTRACT • Contract is available on IRHS Counseling website • You must have your own transportation and valid IRHS parking permit • Attach contract to Course Request form with parent/guardian signature • Classes may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment • In April, please check with your counselor to ensure your class is offered • ***The contract does not guarantee you will receive a first hour class on your schedule***

BOTTOM LINE • Use your 4-year plan and your transcript to determine exactly which credits are needed to meet graduation requirements and which classes best prepare you for college and/or career • Talk with ALL your teachers about classes and have them sign!! • Also, include your parent/guardian in the conversation and decisions

  16. Discuss summer school options with your counselor  • List 2-3different alternate electives • No alternates listed? You counselor will select classes for you!!! Forms due: FEBRUARY 18!! Please have parent/guardian sign form!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS • Forms are due: • MONDAY, FEBRUARY 18TH • Counselors will meet you in the computer labs during your English class to enter course requests • Write clearly on the forms • Please include your e-mail address in case your counselor needs to get a hold of you • Complete form thoroughly and please include: • Parent/guardian signature • Teacher signature • First hour contract • Please keep transcript attached to course request form
