  1. AERO Specialties Offers AERO U GSE Maintenance Training Courses AERO Specialties is one of the most well-respected producers of GSE in the country, supplying airports and airfields all over the world with whatever they need, be it an aircraft ground power unit or a replacement manual. But beyond the unmatched quality of their products, their commitment to innovation, and their impressively diverse selection of GSE and accessories, they also stand out in the industry in another way. That’s through their emphasis on the importance of education and training, both of their own staff and the crews of airports they provide GSE for. AERO Specialties is genuinely passionate about and committed to ensuring that anyone in the aviation industry working with GSE has the best equipment available and the know-how to use it safely and effectively, whether it’s an aircraft tug or a ground power unit. That ethos is such an essential feature of AERO Specialties’ business philosophy that everyone on their staff, whether they’re on the mechanic, support, or sales team, is given in-depth training on all of their GSE, its function, and the realities of the airside work environment in general. Fortunately, that prioritizing of product education has been taken beyond their doors. In order to provide the best service possible for their customers and optimize the life, efficiency, and effectiveness of the GSE they offer, AERO Specialties has introduced AERO U. AERO U is an educational program focused on GSE Maintenance Training for any AERO Specialties customers interested in learning more about GSE. It’s particularly helpful for aviation ground crew professionals and operators. AERO U Course Focus and Features

  2. The AERO U GSE Maintenance Training program focuses on combining both classroom instruction and hands-on training for the maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and operating details for aircraft pushback tractors, aircraft tugs, and any other GSE they produce. This sort of practical, real-life training not only optimizes work efficiency, but, through proper use and precaution, it also increases equipment lifespan, lowers the cost throughout the product lifecycle, and reduces the necessity for unscheduled maintenance issues of the GSE. Perhaps most importantly, it ensures safer operation. AERO U takes place over two days, providing a wealth of information on GSE and best practices. Day One: JetGo GPU Training On day one participants will get a factory and shop tour. As part of their JetGo GPU training they will also learn more about production line, design review, operations, options, troubleshooting, and service bulletins as well as upgrades. Day Two: Towbars, Lav and Water Carts, and O2/N2 Carts Day two will focus on towbars, lav and water carts, and 02/N2 carts. For this GSE, attendees will learn about proper inspection and maintenance, options and features, use, and regulators and gauges (O2/N2). AERO U Details and Information The two-day course takes place at the AERO Specialties facility in Boise, Idaho for the users of and mechanics for JetGo Ground Power Units and any other GSE. There are three upcoming sessions remaining in 2019: April 23-25, August 6-8, and November 19-21. AERO U starts at 8 a.m. sharp, so a travel day is built into the dates of the 2019 training sessions. At the end of the first full day attendees are invited to an AERO Specialties sponsored dinner event. Participants should inquire about AERO Specialties’ corporate hotel rates, and AERO Specialties can also assist with hotel reservations. For more information, click here.
