Develop and demonstrate feasibility of 180 bunch pattern: ~ 50 ns RHIC injection system rise time with Present Injection kicker Present Injection kicker is transmission line magnet ~36 ns fill time when terminated with 40 Ω Requires NEW POWER SUPPLY< 15 ns rise time (1 to 99 %) ~ $250 k ∙involve industry in design and fabrication of SOLID STATE pulser 1kA & 45 kV (38 kV operation) Impedance matching to ~40 Ω Connect pulser in support building to ring with new dispersion free cables 2×75 Ω ~ $165 k
