  3. Cyclops This brutal one-eyed creature worked in the forges for Hephaestus. They were seen as disgusting, foul demons. Odysseus was once trapped by one having to poke its eye to escape. The names “Cyclops” comes from ancient Greek meaning “circle”.

  6. Medusa Medusa is probably the most famous Greek monster by far. She is the only mortal gorgon that exists. Her cold stare turns people into stone. Pursues used Medusa’s severed head to turn his enemies into stone.

  11. Scylla Scylla is a big threat to sailors because she is a large serpent with 9 heads that creates a whirlpool at the end of her tail. Her sister is Charibdis who also has 9 heads and eats men off of their ships.

  12. Hecatoncheires The Hecatoncheires is by far the strangest of all monsters. It has 50 arms and 100 heads! It is also the brother of Cyclopes and Titans.

  13. Pandora’s Box Pandora’s Box is the creator of all the evils in the world. Zeus gave Pandora a box that was never to be opened. But, out of curiosity, Pandora opened it anyway letting all the evil out but giving all of it hope. This box could never be shut.
