  2. Connexion – Metadata Roadmap • Connexion browser released July 2002 • Integrates – CORC, online cataloging, Catexpress, Webdewey • Monthly and quarterly release schedule • Linked authorities • Multiple formats(MARC, DC) • Lots of customization • www.oclc.org/connexion

  3. WorldCat Migration to Oracle • Some Connexion files have been completed • Resource Catalog, News, Authorities file (May) • Performance Testing 51 million records • Application migration • FirstSearch, Batchload, Cataloging, ILL • Completion goal end of 2004

  4. Connexion Client Completed in multiple phases Phase 1 – online cataloging, macros – June 2003 Phase 2 – NACO support – Fall 2003 Passport end-of-life – December 2003 Phase 3 – local file, batch processing – Q1 2004 Phase 4 – International support

  5. CJK Implementation • Current plans – build onto the client • Utilize as much OS support as possible • Input Method Editors • Unicode • Access new WorldCat • Release last half of 2004
