  4. Twas in the merry month of May, In nineteen seventy-six, Chatty Patty became a nurse And the pain, shestarted to fix

  5. Young Patty knew right away Where her purpose was a-hiding She found it there, under the bed-spring’s snare The truths of violation.

  6. She started in penitentiaries, Of the saddest city places Patty saw too many children there With burdens behind their faces

  7. Pat had three kids and worked her job and went to school for the while Took tests, exams, and nursed patients Helping all abused childs

  8. Came to UConn in two-thousand six To start STD testing And many people shot her down She continued without resting

  9. She got approval that she wished for and soon began her journey to prevent disease at this school and spread her knowledge to many

  10. Many a girl, they came to her Entrusting her, with their secrets She was unwavering: did not judge. Their trust in her was the deepest.

  11. And from Patty, we take this note: Not everyone’s an expert That no one knows what they’d do Unless the violence strikes you

  12. And in your life, you’ll meet many souls. And everyone has a story There’s always time in your life, You can never stop learning. There’s always time in your life We can never stop learning
