  1. September 21, 2012 Warm Up: How do costumes and scenery work together to create a unified production? Examples? Objective: Students will create production designs based on short scenes

  2. Production Design • Choices made between costumes, scenery, and other designs, that contribute to a sense of “togetherness” in a given production. • Doesn’t have to match, but “go” • Think of how to use varying choices between characters and scenery • Contrast of parts of costumes and scenery

  3. Templates • Drawing Template for Scenic Designs – model is for your notes, draw your own! • Costume Body Forms – use them to draw your costume designs if you have trouble completing your own drawings.

  4. Design Project 02 – Production Design • Choose a scene from the textbook (start on page 162). You may read as a group • Individually, analyze your play (MTGC) • Individually, create rough drafts of your floor plan, 3D perspective, and costume renderings (today) • Peer Evaluate (Tuesday) • Work on Final Drafts to turn in (DUE Thurs!!!)
