Off the Shelf Commercial Compact FTS for CO 2 and CH 4 Observations for MRV

This study explores the use of Off the Shelf Commercial Compact Fourier Transform Spectrometers (FTS) for accurate regional column greenhouse gas (GHG) observations. The goal is to fill gaps in GHG observations in developing nations. The performance of the EM27/SUN spectrometer is compared with the Total Column Carbon Observing Network (TCCON) and other instruments to validate its accuracy. The study also highlights the potential applications of these observations for carbon cycle science and sink/source closure.
