  1. In this article we are going to talk about the frsky r9m long range receiver modulus test. -What is the r9m long range receiver module? It is a module in jr format that is incorporated in the back of the station. This module has several possibilities of antennas such as the super 8 antenna or the linear antenna. The module works at a voltage of 7.2v (2s). In the fcc format it has 4 emission power modes of (10mw 100mw 500mw and 1w). The installation is very fast and simple, it is simply to place the module in its location and place the antenna. Once this step is done, the configuration of the station has no difficulty, we simply select r9 in the external module section and deactivate the internal module. -Supported receivers R9 slim plus -Dimensions: 32 * 13.5 * 5mm (L × W × H) -Weight: 4.3 g (with antennas) -Number of channels: -Non-EU version: 6 / 16CH (telemetry) -EU version: 6 / 8CH (telemetry) / 6 / 16CH (telemetry) / 6 / 16CH (no telemetry) -With RSSI output: Analog 0 ~ 3.3V -Operating voltage range: DC 3.5V ~ 12.6V (Li-battery 3s) -Operating current: 100mA @ 5V -Operating range: up to 10 km or higher -Updatable firmware -Compatibility: R9M and R9M Lite FrSky R9 MX -Frequency: 868MHz / 915MHz -Dimension: 18 * 12 * 3.2mm

In my long range drone I incorporated the r9 slim + receiver and I have reached 2km of distance without any signal problem and with an rssi of between 98% and 100%. (I have the scale wrong and that is why it marks me from 68-70%) I consider it a fairly safe and reliable system. I am going to incorporate it into my racing drones to replace the rxsr that I have now mounted. the only drawback that I find is excess battery consumption at the station. That this problem is solved by connecting a 2s battery with the xt30 connector that the r9m module incorporates. I recommend people who use or want to buy this module to buy the super 8 antenna to get the most out of this article and also to place the antennas in ways that capture the signal from the station in the best possible way. That is to say, for example, outside the range of the frame in case it is mounted on a drone as is my case. The carbon fiber of the chassis usually produces interference problems, so the antennas have to be as far away as possible

  5. The r9m module is an economical and reliable way for people who want to start in the world of long range or for people looking for a safer and more stable signal
