  1. Production Programme – Q2-Q4 2005

  2. Installation Plans for 2005/6 MilestoneTarget date First PPMs in USA15 for Calorimeter signal checks Sept 2005Complete JEP sub-system tests in Mainz/Stockholm Nov 2005Complete integration of PPr with Calorimeter Receivers Jan 2006Complete integration of PPr with JEP May 2006Complete commissioning of PPr with Calorimeters July 2006 Calorimeter trigger available in situ Aug 2006 Calorimeter trigger commissioned Oct 2006 Full level-1 trigger system available Oct 2006Cosmic ray run Jan 2007

  3. Spring 2005 • Install TCPPs (not yet built) and RPPPs (not yet designed) • Install Tilecal Receivers (already at CERN) • Short Analogue Cables (four sets) + LVDS digital • Install cables as soon as TCPP, RPPP and cable management are ready August 2005 • Install and test our system which will look at Tilecal signals: • Aim is to ensure that it fully works before Tilecal integration starts in September. September – December 2005 • Connection and checking of Tilecal trigger signals. • Need a clear understanding of which group (Tile/L1Calo) will do what • During checks, must confirm connectivity, noise, signal quality, gain,…

  4. This will need a rotating group of 3-5 people always at CERN (more at the start) • including a PP expert and a software expert and a cable mapping expert. • more people if Tilecal need L1Calo 2 shifts/day (need to know soon) • average of 7-11 days at CERN for every member of L1Calo!!

  5. November – December 2005 • Complete preparations for testing LAr trigger signals • Install PP crates in EM PP Racks • Install remaining analogue cables? January - June 2006 • Connection and Testing of LAr Barrel & Endcap, HEC and FCal trigger signals. • 360 cables each to check, or up to 1800 calo cells/day. • In Feb/March 2006, production PPMs come to CERN • installed and cabled first to the LAr signals ahead of the wave of testing. • Then into other parts of LAr and Tilecal. • Also in parallel, CP and JEP and Readout systems should be installed.

  6. June – October 2006 L1 Trigger available and complete by Oct 2006. Therefore… • Attach L1Calo to CTP_In, verify connectivity. • Connect DAQ (ROS) and RoIB S-Links. • Test strategy for RoIB S-Links needs to be defined. • Sort out combined timing, trigger menus, DAQ,… • Meanwhile, continue with test and calibration runs with calorimeters. • The next steps would be Cosmic Runs
