  4. Appalachian Plateau • Small • Northwest Georgia • Sand Mountain and Lookout Mountain • Vacation Homes • Flat, high land • Many trees • Land is poor

  5. Valley and Ridge • Good soil for farming-apples • Lots of trees • Rocky land • North Georgia • Hiking and Camping

  6. Blue Ridge Mountains • Northeastern Georgia • Water from rivers make power for electricity • Georgia’s highest mountains • Southern part of Appalachian Trail • Many mountains are “bald” (no trees)
