  3. Stir Up The Gift and Give The Church A Lift II Timothy 1:6; I Cor. 12:1-7

  4. II Timothy 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by putting on of my hands.

  5. I Corinthians 12:1-7 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. (2) Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. (3) Wherefore I give you to understand , that no man speaking by the Spirit of God called Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. (4) Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

  6. I Corinthians 12:1-7 (5) And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. (6) And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. (7) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

  7. The Meaning of The Theme for 2012: When Paul admonishes us to "stir up the gift" in us, he is really telling us to discipline ourselves to put what we say we believe into action. He speaks most specifically about the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT, but the intent of his admonition includes all of the truths we have received as a result of God giving us His Spirit
