  1. Taking Care of the Elderly amid the Nationwide Lockdown The COVID19 pandemic has affected everyone adversely and the elderly are at the highest risk. With so much tension around, their mental health is also at stake. Here are some tips to take better care of your senior loved ones amid these testing times:

  2. Spare Some Time For Them • So many of us have been working from home for the last few months and it does get a little difficult at times to spare time for others. A little effort from your end to spend some time with them will make them feel a lot better.

  3. Try to Fulfill Their Expectations from You • We understand that you’ve been taking care of all their needs so well but sometimes all they want is their children and grandchildren to converse with them. Understanding their expectations and living up to those can be the best gift ever.

  4. Show Them That You Care • An act of kindness goes a long way than words will ever go. Making them feel good about themselves, reading to them, getting little things done for them, and cooking them their favorite foods are some of the many things that you can do to show them you care.

  5. Try and Be a Good Listener • Nothing will ever soothe a senior more than you listening patiently to whatever they have got to say. Talk to them as much as you want but never forget to listen to them with equal attention. • Taking care of an aging adult can get a bit overwhelming at times but these tips are definitely going to help you take better care of them. If you are still finding it difficult, feel free to reach out to Always Best Care for all sorts of elder care assistance in Contra Costa County. Dial (925) 210-0323.
