  2. Project: Improving knowledge and skillset of St Albans Service Delivery Staff moving forward into the future Service Delivery Staff face uncertain times. Organisational change, work activity change- reduced gate count, reduced loans, less day-to-day, face-to-face activity and more to come. There is a real danger that staff are at risk of taking a back-seat view of their careers. We want and need staff to be engaged, positive and looking at improving their knowledge and skillset as goals to help determine their future. Why Emergent Technologies? St Albans Service Delivery Staff comprise mainly part-time staff working across a wide spread of library opening hours. It is difficult to arrange a common meeting time without interruptions. Also we wanted to allow for ‘thinking time’- time to brainstorm, time to think about individual strengths and challenges. Hence the decision to use an Online Brainstorming tool- Padlet

  3. Where To From Here? • Meet with staff to discuss outcomes • Confirm priorities for staff development • Team members with identified strength to develop short training program(in conjunction with Julie and Jenny) • Julie and Jenny to pursue avenues of support/training for areas of challenge outside of group expertise- eg SIS Team, Digital Services, University Staff Development
