  2. AIM OF THE WORK • Develop technical background materialS that can support different steps in the CDM project cycle to be used by national teams and international audience. CD for CDM - Phase 1 - First National Workshop, Egypt 17-18 December 2002

AIM OF THE WORK (CONTINUED) • Assess different methodological approaches in relation to national CDM project cases and develop good practice guidance for project assessment: • Transparency and simplicity. • Efficiency in facilitating fast project development with low transaction costs. • Efficiency in reducing GHG emissions and assissting sustainable development goals. • Replicability – implying that project developers and host countries can use the approach in a similar way. • Enhancement of national capacity to participate in CDM markets and other CC activities. • Review internationally available guidance material. • Develop technical background material that can support different steps in the CDM project cycle to be used by national teams and international audience. • Assess different methodological approaches in relation to national CDM project cases and develop good practice guidance for project assessment.
