  1. Project Avalanche(Avalanche powertech) Imagine… © Project Avalanche, 2013

  2. How to measure a standard of living? Energy consumption per resident a year / power per resident (*) Tonne of Oil EquivalentData: EUROSTAT (2009) © Project Avalanche, 2013

  3. Main Idea • To commercialize a unique technology for producing inexpensive, clean energy: both heat and electricity • We use nuclear reaction of Avalanche Proton Fusion (APF) • A type ofLENR (Low Energy Nuclear Reaction) © Project Avalanche, 2013

  4. Advantages • Low cost of a kW*h • Zero CO/CO2 footprint • No radiation, no radioactive waste • Compactness: 1MW station fits in a standard sea container, 10 kW in a suitcase • Output: energy and some stable elements • Ease of use • Can obtain rare earths, Oxygen, even noble metals as by-products © Project Avalanche, 2013

  5. Just imagine… • Offices, apartments, plants - completely independent from centralized supply ofheat and electricity, even in the middle of a desert, or on the North Pole… • Cars being re-fueled once a 30,000 kM… • Safe Nuclear Power Stations … • Clean energy and transportation systems • New jet and rocket engines… • And, by the way, “oil wars”, gas blackmail, and nuclear accidents are all history… © Project Avalanche, 2013

  6. Status Quo • The first working theoretical model of APF nuclear reaction created (2012) • First experiment completed, a qualitative model confirmation achieved (2012) • Interest indicated in Ukraine, Europe, USA and Canada • Five patent applications are in preparation • Our agenda: • Rise Angel funds • Complete quantitative experiment • Prepare patent applications • Create Technology Demonstrator and/or Prototype © Project Avalanche, 2013

  7. Markets Yearly energy consumption within Euro Community is about 22PW*h (22*1015W*h) Industry Transportation Householdings Services Agriculture Other Data: Eurostat/ EEA, 2009 Conservative assessment of our market share: less than 1%, $400 mln © Project Avalanche, 2013

  11. Business Models of Revolution • Main (Plan A): • Technology development, manufacturing and sales of APT brand energy equipment (EE) • Alternative (Plan B): • Development of APF-based technology • Production and sales of Catalyzer • Licensing of EE technology to third parties • The most probable scenario: combination of the two © Project Avalanche, 2013

  12. Competition • Defkalion Green Technologies • http://defkalion-energy.com • R&D and prototyping • Leonardo Corporation • http://www.leonardo-ecat.com • Commercial prototypes • Certification obtained • Order acceptance and the beginning of sales • BrillouinEnergy • http://www.brillouinenergy.com/ • R&D © Project Avalanche, 2013

  13. Our Advantages • Competition is using empirical approach • We possess the only working theory of Avalanche Proton Fusion (APF) – a result of some 20 years of study of nuclei interaction • The model allows, in particular: • To simulate various types of Catalyzers • Minimize their costs, maximize output • Optimize the cost and output of energy received by means of APF • Predict and obtain desired reaction by-products © Project Avalanche, 2013

  18. Scenarios • Main goal is to make it happen! • Plan A: • Development of APF technology • Create / Purchase own manufacturing facilities • Design, Manufacturing and sales of APF power units • Plan B: • Development of APF technology • Producing key component: APF Catalyst • Licensing APF technology and selling APF Catalyst to third party vendors © Project Avalanche, 2013

  19. Attention Investors • We are now fundraising for project Stages Zero and One: • Completing quantitative measurements (Stage Zero) • Building Technology Demonstrator (Stage One) • Filing Patent Applications • Incorporation in pre-selected jurisdiction • Funding Required: $150K (Stage 0) and$300K (Stage 1) • Investor’s share to be discussed • Investor’s Exit Strategies • Short: selling shares in 2 – 3 years with 10x • Long: further company development and selling to Strategic investor or going public in 8 to 10 years. © Project Avalanche, 2013

  20. Post-scriptum • “When an elderly and distinguished scientist tells you that something is possible, he is very probably right. When he tells you that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong”. Arthur C. Clarke • “If I … were entrepreneur in a garage I would start a nuclear reactor company” Bob Metcalfe © Project Avalanche, 2013
