  1. Saving electricity at home where there are children is fairly simple. All that is required is to educate the children about importance of conserving power. It is the responsibility of the parents and elders in the household to make children understand the necessity to save power and preserve earth for a greener future. Children having easy access to unlimited supply of water and electricity must be made to realize how fortunate they are as compared to children in other countries where there is acute water shortage and insufficient sufficient energy for people to use. 1. Switch off lights not in use First and foremost make children understand that electricity costs money. Unless we save power there may come a point in future when there is shortage of natural sources of power. Hence it is important that children learn to switch off lights and turn off the air conditioners when not in use. Encourage them to make this a habit to be followed automatically without being reminded. 5 Easy Tips for Your Kids to Conserve Energy

  2. 2. Unplug electronic items Whenever your children leave the house for an extended period of time ensure that they unplug electronic devices such as video games, computers and televisions. Not only will this save power but will ensure that your house is safe too. 3. Timing of shower Children love to play in water. However it is important for parents to highlight the need to conserve energy and encourage children to take quick showers instead of long baths. Avoid heating a bath since it consumes far more power as compared to a shower. 4. Use of refrigerators Tell your children about the need to keep the refrigerator door closed at all times. Often kids leave the refrigerator door open for a long period of time while deciding what to eat. This results in warming the refrigerator and unnecessary waste of electricity.

  3. 5. Wear suitable clothing. Whenever possible make children wear an additional layer of clothing to keep them warm in winters instead of using heaters. During summers wearing light-colored cotton clothes will help in keeping children cool naturally. Saving electricity at home is a habit which you can inculcate in your children. Children learn by example. Hence if you follow simple things like switching off light while leaving a room your child too will make this a habit. For saving electricity at home you and your children need not sacrifice your comfort and safety. All that you need to do is to change some of your habits and stick to them so as to conserve precious energy. https://www.gadgetgirlreviews.com/2019/12/ground-power-generator-review.html
