  5. Resumes • Don’t always need objective • Start sentences with the most important thing you want to say • Does not need to be one page • Not so much listing what you’ve done…but what you’ve accomplished. USE VERBS! • Quantify

  6. Applications • Send writing sample • Taylor responses to mission of the organization • Computer skills • Show leadership • Show progression

  8. Tips… • CONTACT SOMEONE • Ask about organization, fundamental roles, how funded, mission of partners, what are they doing? • Emphasize diverse skill set • Communication skills important

  9. Where do I look? • Texas A&M Job board #1 • USA Jobs • The Wildlife Society website • State wildlife agencies • Private industries • Consulting firms • Ask your contacts
