  1. Intense colours to empower your image

  2. Company • HQ in Rubí (Barcelona), Spain since 1970 • Specialized in the production of inks for Flexography, Rotogravure, Screen, UV and Ink-Jet • Factories in Spain, France and Portugal • €35 millions in revenue, 150 employees • Continuous growth since 1996 • Present in 30 countries • 3rd ink manufacturer in Spain and 20th worldwide

  3. Mission and vision • Mission: to produce, distribute and run high quality inks for the flexography and ink jet industries, always applying the newest technology advances in the market • Vision: to be an international company without being multinational, leader in the field of inks and accessories for graphic industry

  4. Our compromise • Reliable inks: we ensure that all our products are consistent and true to our high level of quality standards • Innovation: we continuously develop new products to keep on top of a changing market • Performance: our Technical Assistants are working shoulder to shoulder with our clients and distributors to ensure that the job gets done right • Environment development policy (Chimigraf prioritize UV/LED technology, edible pigments and extracts derived from natural sources)

  5. Our strength • We are ink artisans: we create our inks directly from pigments so we do not depend on semi elaborated products from third parties • We produce and supply Pigmentary Dispersions (Chips), and auxiliary coating products • Machine manufacturers rely on us to develop and produce their original ink for their machines • Customers in different industries come to us to develop reliable and innovative inks for industrial applications: automotive (rain sensors), ceramics, coding, decorative, electronics (chip conductors), graphic, textile, security • We work with printers and print heads manufacturers to improve our inks toward new ink jet solutions

  6. Our knowledge It’s not just about ink but about integration of: Substrate–CHIMIGRAF INK–print engine–application Ink manufacture knowledge about application and system: • Focusing on specific applications • Customer application and design to use the right chemistry • Interaction chemistry liquids and substrates • Jetting conditions and chemical behavior • Ink formulation minimizing health and safety issues • Maximum print output

  7. Our success: Total Control • We develop the ink formula • We accurately choose the raw materials that make the grade • We establish quality controls during the process of production • We control each batch with a fast aging process: 3 weeks inside an oven at 45º =>The result is reliability: always consistent in intensity, density and viscosity

  8. Ink values • Jettability: Small pigment particle size for best performance • Physical performance : • UV exposure • Surface tension • Dot behaviour • Elongation • Adhesion (ink and ink+primer) on to rigid PVC, laminated PVC, Polycarbonate, ABS, polystyrene, acrylic, rigid PET, PET film, Treated PP and Glass • Colour : • High quality Pigment Selection • colour Shade • Density • Gloss • colour management

  9. Ink values II • Reliability: • Ink Stability and long shelf • Outdoor durability • Weather Resistance : • Temperature • Humidity • Climate • Chemical Resistance • Physical Resistance • UV light resistance (Delta E)

  10. Recognition • Chimigraf is recognized as an Approved Ink Partner by Dimatix (Spectra Heads), Seiko, Xaar and Konica Minolta printheads

  11. Our offer • We offer a wide range of Inkjet inks on today’s market: • UV Curable • Solvent Based • Oil Based • Ceramic • Wood

  12. UV inks Almost a decade of UV ink jet inks R&D place Chimigraf as one of the most important UV ink jet inks laboratories and manufacturers. CHIMIJET IJ UV inks SPECIFICATIONS: • Excellent Jetting stability. • High density & Gloss colours. • Rapid Cure. • Less Odour • Good adhesion on a large range of flexible and semi-flexible substrates. • Colours available: YMCB + Lights + White + Spot colours (green, orange, violet). • Excellent outdoor durability in correct printing conditions, inks can be used for outdoor applications withstand 2 year (full colour set) and 5 years with laminates. • Long shelf life: 12 months

  13. UV OPVarnish • IJ OPVarnish is an overprint varnish UV curing for graphic substrates (rigid & flexible). This varnish has a good scratch resistance combined with the flexibility of IJ UV Chimigraf inks. This Varnish has an excellent compatibility when applied over Chimijet UV inks. It allows you to create Spot varnish effects. • This varnish is to be used on Piezo DOD Printheads at elevated temperatures.

  14. Solvent inks • Chimigraf has formulated a wide range of solvent products to be used on most of the piezo drop on demand printers on the market. • Inks suitable for a wide range of media such as coated and uncoated vinyl, banners, fabrics, paper, etc. • Chimigraf Solvent Range: • IJS TBJ – Turbojet TJ8300 with Hitachi print head. • IJS 210 – HP Scitex and HP NUR with Xaar 128 PH. • IJS SPC 100 – Vutek with Spectra PH.

  15. Solvent inks II • Chimigraf Solvent based inks are formulated and tested with optimal compatibility with drop on demand ink jet devices for indoor and outdoor applications. • We provide the ink with excellent colour gamut, drying time, print performance, adhesion and scratch resistance. • Two years outdoor durability and three with laminate. • Colours available: YMCB Lcyan Lmagenta

  16. Ecosolvent ink • Chimigraf ECO Solvent based inks are formulated with non hazardous materials, free of cyclohexanone, ethylene glycol ethers, aromatic hydrocarbons and vinyl esters. Minimizing odour and more environmental friendly VOCs • Tested with optimal compatibility with drop on demand ink jet devices for indoor and outdoor applications • We provide the ink with excellent colour gamut, outdoor durability, drying time, print performance, adhesion, scratch and chemical resistance • colours available: YMCB Lcyan Lmagenta

  17. Oil based ink • IJOil based ink is formulated to be used in Piezo drop on demand print head for marking and coding printers. • To be used in porous and absorbent substrates such as paper and board. Ideal for bar coding for stock identification. • It is not volatile and do not dry in print head. • Excellent start up characteristics. • Minimal head cleaning and purging. • Colours available: BYMC

  18. Ceramic ink • In FESPA 2007-Berlin, CHIMIGRAF was awarded with the Platinum – Manufacturing category for “the Ceramic Ink Jet inks” job. • CHIMIGRAF developed an ink jet ceramic ink with inorganic pigments equivalent in quality (imitation of stone, wood, marble, etc), print speed (30m/min) single pass and cook at 1200ªC, cost effective compared to traditional printing systems. • The advantages of digital printing are: the possibility of printing irregular surfaces and printing totally different consecutive ceramic pieces. Allowing that at the exit of the oven the ceramic pieces can be assembled and packed on its final design.

  19. Wood ink • Chimigraf and Barberan presented in 2008 the industrial solution for wood printing, based on the long experience of Chimigraf developing Ink jet inks and Barberan manufacturing wood printers. • Chimigraf developed specific ink jet ink for the wood market. The ink achieves excellent adhesion and gloss on a variety of wood substrates and it is compatible with existing floor resistant overprint varnishes. • The ink reproduces accurately the colour gamut of different natural woods. • Barberan developed a Single pass Digital Printer equivalent to traditional print systems (speed 30m/min) and excellent quality image.
