People everywhere are driving and riding electricity-powered automobiles, encouraging and fostering the practice to shift towards a greener, sustainable, safer, healthier, and eco-friendly world for Earth‟s better future. Many companies and businesses as well as startup entrepreneurs are coming up with ideas on how to make more sustainable alternatives and solutions as drivers of change. With growing environmental concerns, being able to preserve and conserve the longevity of our world in whichever way possible must be established now more than ever. In the Automotive Industry transformation, one such innovative solution that has been brought into existence is Electric Vehicles or EVs. These electric automobiles are now used widely in different industries and sectors for a multitude of reasons. They also serve several purposes, all the while in an environmentally friendly and sustainable approach. To make the world and the lives of the people living in it just a little bit easier, companies are taking innovation one step ahead and integrating a creative touch and side to them as well. Therefore in this article, we will be sharing insights into an entrepreneurial startup business - ZOOX, founded by Jesse Levinson who is also the Chief Technical Officer at the company. Zoox is all about providing people with a “new kind of transportation” through MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service), where transportation is made safe, clean, green, sustainable, and enjoyable for all. About the Co-Founder of ZOOX: The Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer at Zoox is Jesse Levinson. Jesse has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Princeton University. He also received his Postdoctoral Research from Stanford University under Sebastian Thrun - a Professor at the institution. Here, Jesse Levinson developed algorithms under the guidance of Professor Sebastian Thrun for the “$1M-winning entry in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge”. “We are inventors, builders, and doers.” Apart from co-founding Zoox with Tim Kentley-Klay - a Designer and Entrepreneur, Jesse also collaborated in creating Pro HDR - the 1st ever HDR app for smartphones. ZOOX - A New Kind Of Transportation: Jesse Levinson and Tim Kentley-Klay together co-founded Zoox - a fully autonomous, self- driving cars, all-electric, ride-hailing vehicle. Founded in the year 2014, the company has its headquarters located in Foster City, California, in The United States of America. Working in the Automotive Industry, Zoox provides Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), where transportation is reinvented to create and establish futures that are safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable for all.

Safer streets where Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transportation brings down the percentage of human-made errors and establishes a stress-free mindset with driverless transports, Zoox drives towards less congestion and less pollution. The vehicle is designed to provide riders comfort and ease in riding with its super- spacious interior space. “Safety First. For you and everyone else. Protecting Riders-equally.” Other in-vehicle features that are integrated are Wireless Recharging of Smartphones while riding, and a Rider Screen that provides the riders with real-time data and information such as arrival time, current location, and route management. Calibrates, Localizes, and maps - the three critical components of the electric vehicles at Zoox, the accessibility to set the mood too with your favorite music shows that the company is built for a customer-centric and prioritized service. Compact and navigating tight spaces efficiently, Zoox‟s electric vehicles are Bidirectional - meaning, they do not have a „front‟ or a „back‟, and can move back and forth as needed and required. Tried and tested again and again, Zoox went through many years of building, innovating, and improving for the better since 2014. In the year 2020, Amazon joined together with Zoox and acquired it for 1.2 billion dollars and has since then provided riders with a 4-wheel and no- steering electric taxi - powered and driven by AI.
