  1. How to Register a Company in India

  2. Step 1: Acquire DIN DIN (Director Identification Number) is a unique identification number for an existing director or a person intending to become a director of a company. As per a recent amendment to the Companies Act 1956, DIN has become mandatory for all the directors. DIN is unique and specific to an individual.

  3. Step 2: Acquire Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) At least one of the directors should have a valid DSC issued by the Certifying Authorities (CA) and approved by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Some CA are: TCS, IDBRT, MTNL, SAFESCRYPT, NIC, nCODESolutions. The Information Technology Act, 2000 provides for use of Digital Signatures on the documents submitted in electronic forms, in order to ensure the security and authenticity of the documents filed electronically.

  4. Step 3: Create an account on MCA Portal This is about having a registered user account on MCA Portal for filing a eForm, for online fee payment, for different transactions as registered and business user. Creating an account is totally free of cost.

  5. Step 4: Apply for the Company to be Registered. This is the final major step in a registration of your company which includes following forms for different Perspectives : Form-1A : incorporating company name, Form-18 : Registering the office address and Form-32 : notice for appointment of company directors, manager and secretary. After submitting these forms, once the application has been approved by MCA, you will receive a confirmation email regarding the application for incorporation of a new company, and the status of the form will get changed to Approved.
